About this design

This serene, minimalist space is dominated by a cool neutral palette of soft greys, creamy whites, and warm beige tones. The primary material is smooth cast concrete, seen in the sculptural, curved bathtub and the polished floor, contrasted by the dark metal framework of the impressive circular skylight above. The lighting is the true protagonist—strong, directional natural light pours through the multi-paneled glass dome, creating sharp, angular shadows that dance across the organic forms of the tub and floor. The spatial layout centers on the freestanding tub positioned directly beneath the oculus, making the bathing experience feel both intimate and dramatically theatrical. The overall mood is contemplative, luxurious, and spa-like. This design perfectly suits a high-end residential master bathroom or a luxury boutique hotel suite where the ritual of bathing is elevated to an architectural experience.

How to get this look

  • Install a large circular or geometric skylight with dark metal framework to create dramatic light patterns
  • Use monolithic cast concrete or concrete-look surfaces for the bathtub and flooring to emphasize sculptural forms
  • Position the freestanding tub directly under the skylight to maximize the play of light and shadow
  • Keep the color palette strictly neutral with warm white and cool grey tones for a spa-like atmosphere
  • Choose clean, curved architectural lines for all fixtures to contrast with the angular skylight geometry
