Fog-embraced Mountain Resort with Stone and Timber Villas

This expansive mountain resort showcases a harmonious blend of contemporary and traditional Chinese architecture set within a dramatic natural landscape. The dominant palette consists of earthy terracotta tones, deep charcoal roof tiles, warm timber accents, and the lush greens of surrounding bamboo and forest. Materials include local stone used in retaining walls and pathways, dark ceramic roof tiles, timber framing, and smooth concrete volumes on the modern structures. Soft, diffused morning light filters through heavy fog, creating a tranquil and ethereal mood. The spatial layout integrates buildings with the topography, featuring winding stone paths that connect various villas, a central reflective pond, and terraced water features that follow the natural slope. The design perfectly suits those seeking peaceful nature immersion, cultural appreciation, and high-end boutique hospitality experiences in a mountainous setting.
