About this design

This striking interior showcases a sculptural spiral staircase entirely clad in light beige terrazzo with dense black aggregate chips, creating a strong textural and visual rhythm. The terrazzo continues seamlessly onto the floor, unifying the space. The dominant palette is neutral and calming—soft beiges, warm whites, and deep greens from the abundant tropical plants visible in the open atrium beyond. Natural light floods the area from a large skylight above, casting soft shadows and highlighting the organic curves of the stair and handrail. A massive circular metallic portal on the right adds a bold contemporary contrast with its brushed steel frame and subtle teal interior glow. The spatial layout feels open and airy, with the staircase acting as both functional circulation and artistic centerpiece. This design suits modern institutional or hospitality spaces such as museums, corporate headquarters, or upscale hotels seeking a blend of organic warmth and architectural drama.
