About this design

This tranquil bedroom embraces a wabi-sabi aesthetic defined by its raw concrete wall that serves as a textural backdrop. The dominant palette consists of earthy neutrals — warm beige, creamy white, and soft taupe — punctuated by a rich olive-green herringbone throw that adds depth and organic warmth. Two large-scale abstract ink paintings in black and white introduce artistic contrast while maintaining the minimalist mood. The standout feature is the pair of oversized cylindrical rattan pendant lights with a coarse woven texture that cast soft, diffused light, enhancing the tactile and sensory experience. The spatial layout is clean and uncluttered, with the bed positioned to face the art wall, creating a meditative focal point. This room perfectly suits those seeking a calm, grounded retreat that values natural materials, imperfection, and quiet luxury.
