About this design

This striking contemporary villa showcases a dominant palette of deep charcoal, warm natural wood tones, and lush greens. The exterior is clad in charred wood (shou sugi ban), creating a dramatic yet sophisticated contrast against the light concrete base and the vibrant turquoise of the swimming pool. Large, frameless glass openings blur the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing the open-plan kitchen and dining area to flow directly onto the expansive timber deck. The mood is tranquil, luxurious, and deeply connected to nature. The spatial layout emphasizes horizontal lines and seamless indoor-outdoor living, perfect for a contemporary family home or a high-end vacation retreat that values privacy, natural materials, and effortless entertaining.
