Curved Living Room with Mustard Modular Sofa and Dramatic Spiral Staircase

This striking double-height living room showcases a dominant neutral palette of warm whites, creamy beiges, and natural light oak, dramatically punctuated by a rich mustard-yellow modular sofa. The architectural hero is a sweeping, plaster-finished spiral staircase that creates powerful organic curves and generous negative space. Materials emphasize tactile contrast: smooth curved plaster walls, ribbed wood ceiling panels, a chunky woven jute rug, and polished stone-like side tables. Soft natural light pours in from floor-to-ceiling windows, casting long, dramatic shadows that enhance the sculptural quality of every surface. Two white mushroom floor lamps add playful mid-century character. The overall mood is serene yet confident, sophisticated yet playful. This space perfectly suits design enthusiasts, young professionals, or families who appreciate bold architectural gestures and contemporary comfort in a waterfront or urban setting.
