Double-Height Living Room with Organic Travertine Fireplace

This airy double-height living room showcases a soft neutral palette dominated by creamy whites, warm beiges, and gentle earth tones. The standout feature is the tall, sculptural plaster fireplace wall with organic, flowing contours that add artistic movement to the space. Materials include honed travertine used for the irregular coffee table, a white marble dining surface with green veining in the foreground, natural wood in the dining chairs, and textured ribbed upholstery on the generous sofa. A patterned armchair with green botanical motifs introduces the only bold color accent. Natural light floods in through dramatic floor-to-ceiling arched windows dressed in flowing linen curtains, while black metal wall sconces and a classic floor lamp provide layered lighting. The overall mood is calm, sophisticated, and organic. The open spatial layout with a visible upper mezzanine creates a sense of grandeur while maintaining intimacy. This design perfectly suits homeowners who appreciate modern organic aesthetics, contemporary art collectors, or anyone seeking a peaceful sanctuary that blends architectural drama with tactile comfort.
