Double-Height Living Room with Travertine Fireplace

This striking contemporary living room showcases a dramatic double-height volume that creates a sense of grandeur and openness. The dominant palette consists of warm neutrals — creamy beige, soft taupe, and deep charcoal — punctuated by the rich, textured honey tones of the large-scale travertine feature wall and fireplace surround. A sculptural indoor tree stands as a living focal point, bridging the vertical space. The lighting design is layered and sophisticated, combining concealed cove lighting, warm linear accents, and the glowing fire to produce a calm yet luxurious mood. A low, organic-shaped marble coffee table sits on a large circular dark grey rug, paired with a checkered accent armchair and a sleek built-in black bookshelf that runs the full height of the wall. The spatial layout cleverly integrates the verticality with intimate seating zones, making this room ideal for design-conscious homeowners who appreciate modern luxury, architectural presence, and biophilic elements in a high-end urban residence.
