Gravel Courtyard with Woven Stools and Galvanized Tub

This sun-drenched Mediterranean courtyard showcases a warm, earthy neutral palette of creamy whites, gravel greys, and natural wood tones. The dominant materials include rough textured stucco walls, fine pebble gravel underfoot, solid teak-framed stools with tightly woven rattan seats, a weathered galvanized metal tub, and a terracotta planter. Dramatic diagonal shadows from an unseen overhead structure create strong graphic patterns across every surface, enhancing the tactile quality of the space. A young citrus tree adds a vertical element while a large green glass demijohn and feathery ornamental grass provide organic softness. The layout is intentionally sparse, emphasizing negative space and material honesty. This setting perfectly suits lovers of rustic Mediterranean, wabi-sabi, or modern farmhouse aesthetics who appreciate quiet outdoor moments, morning coffee, or contemplative garden spaces that celebrate natural light and honest materials.
