About this design

This living room presents a masterful balance of raw and refined elements. The dominant feature is a towering natural stone wall with varied grey tones that adds organic texture and architectural weight. Against this backdrop sits a custom modular sofa combining deep maroon velvet, neutral checkered fabric, and marble-like stone bases, creating a rich, tactile seating landscape. A large, moody painting with warm reds and architectural motifs anchors the seating area, enhancing the room’s artistic character. The floor is covered in a plush green carpet that softens the space and introduces an earthy counterpoint to the stone. Thoughtful lighting includes a minimalist wall sconce and natural light from high clerestory windows. The overall mood is sophisticated yet grounded, calm but texturally stimulating. This design suits homeowners who appreciate contemporary luxury with strong natural materials and those seeking a distinctive living room that feels both artistic and cocooning.
