About this design

This bright, minimalist open-plan living and dining space is defined by a harmonious neutral palette of warm beige, creamy white, and natural wood tones. The dominant material is light oak, seen in the thick slab dining table, matching chairs, and the striking sloped ceiling with exposed structural beams that draw the eye upward. Woven rattan detailing on the chair backs adds organic texture, complemented by a chunky, looped wool rug in natural fiber tones. Soft, diffused natural light pours in from a full-height glass wall on the right, creating long, peaceful shadows across the polished concrete floor. A large horizontal abstract painting in muted earth tones anchors the seating area, where a low-profile white sectional sofa sits against a built-in wooden console. The overall mood is calm, airy, and grounded. This aesthetic perfectly suits families or couples seeking a tranquil, contemporary home that blends Scandinavian simplicity with warm Japandi influences.
