About this design

This bright, airy open-plan kitchen embodies a calm Mediterranean aesthetic defined by a soft neutral palette of creamy whites, warm wood tones, and earthy greys. The dominant material is a speckled terrazzo countertop and island that provides durable, textural contrast against the smooth concrete floor and white plastered walls. Overhead, thick exposed wooden beams add organic warmth and visual weight, complemented by three slender cylindrical pendant lights suspended above the island. Two woven rattan bar stools sit neatly at the island, while a vintage-style multi-drawer apothecary cabinet on the left introduces character and storage. The spatial layout cleverly integrates the kitchen with the dining area on the right, where a long wooden table and black chairs complete the social zone. Large steel-framed windows flood the space with natural light and frame a breathtaking ocean view, creating a serene, vacation-home mood that perfectly suits those seeking a relaxed coastal lifestyle or a holiday retreat.
