About this design

This striking kitchen embraces a cave-like spatial layout defined by its heavily textured, hand-applied terrazzo in warm terracotta and deep charcoal tones. The dominant palette is rich in earthy reds, browns, and dark wood grains, creating an enveloping, moody atmosphere. A massive spherical pendant lamp in glowing peach-orange hangs prominently from the curved ceiling, complemented by recessed linear LED lighting that traces the architectural steps and shelves. The cabinetry consists of floor-to-ceiling wood panels with a vertical grain pattern and integrated handleless doors, providing seamless storage. A robust stone island with a polished concrete top anchors the foreground, while a built-in bench with hidden lighting runs along the right wall. The combination of organic textures, dramatic lighting, and warm materials makes this space ideal for those seeking a bold, contemporary yet primal kitchen that doubles as a dramatic entertaining or live-in chef’s environment.
