About this design

This living room showcases a refined brutalist-minimalist aesthetic defined by pale sand-colored concrete block walls that create a textural yet calming backdrop. The dominant palette consists of warm neutrals — creamy beige, soft sandstone, and natural wood tones — punctuated by the distinctive speckled white terrazzo floor. A low-profile modular sofa in boucle fabric anchors the space, complemented by a solid oak side table and a vintage wooden upright piano that adds character without clutter. Dramatic double-height volume with expansive clerestory windows floods the room with even, diffused daylight, enhancing the airy and contemplative mood. The spatial layout cleverly uses the height and open sightlines to make the room feel both intimate and grand. This space perfectly suits design enthusiasts, architects, and families seeking a tranquil, tactile modern home that balances raw materiality with understated comfort.
